The first private university and the number one ranked private university of Bangladesh, North South University (NSU) organized a drawing competition & cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the 102nd Birth Anniversary of the greatest Bengali of all time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2022 today.
North South University campus was decorated with colorful lights and the National Flag was hoisted in the morning on this occasion. In the morning a drawing competition was arranged by NSU where children between the ages of 2 and 15 participated. All the children who took part in the competition were awarded with prize by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of North South University, Professor Dr. M. Ismail Hossain. At the end of the drawing competition a cake cutting ceremony was organized at NSU Plaza Area. Several documentaries on the life of Bangabandhu were presented on the occasion.
It’s worth mentioning that, a discussion session and cultural program will be organized by NSU on 21 March, 2022 on the occasion of the 102nd Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Mr. Mustafa Jabbar, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, People’s Republic of Bangladesh will be present as the Chief Guest. Mr. Azim Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Chairman, Board of Trustees, North South University will be present as the Special Guest. Prof. Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor, North South University will chair the event.
Among others, Prof. ABM Rashedul Hassan, Treasurer, NSU, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean, School of Business & Economics, NSU, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, NSU, Prof. Dr. Javed Bari, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, NSU, Amb. Maj Gen Azmal Kabir (Retd), Director, Administration, NSU, Mr. Jamil Ahmed, Director, Public Relations Office, NSU, Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami, Director, Office of Student Affairs, directors of various departments, department heads, senior officials, faculties and students were also present at the program.
