Laptops were formally distributed in various educational institutes in the conference room Kurigram Zila Parishad at 10.30 am on Sunday (April 10).
Chairman of Zila Parishad and also president of Kurigram district unit of Awami League former MP Alhaj Md. Jafor Ali was present as the chief guest while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md. Faridul Islam was presided over the function.
President and secretary of Kurigram Press Club Raju Mostafiz, correspondent of The Daily Janakantha and 71 TV, and Abdul Khaleque Faruque correspondent of The Daily Kaler Kantho, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha(BSS) and Independent TV respectively, member of Zila Parishad Ekramul Haque Bulbul, head and president of educational institutes, Reporters of both print and electronic media, Assistant Engineer of Zila Parishad Md. Mizanur Rahman and other office staff were present in the laptop distribution ceremony.
A total of eight Laptops were distributed among the educational institutes free of cost. The speakers emphasized of proper training and use of computer and Laptops to build up skill the students. There is no alternative way without computer learning at present as it is very essential in every sector.
Zila Parishad is being performing various development works including training programs like computer training, sewing training and giving sewing machines among poor and distressed women to build up self reliant, Relief distribution, Warm cloth distribution among cold hit poor people in the winter season etc.
